Thank you everyone for attending our most recent Sign Café on 2nd March 2020.
First of all, I would also like to say thank you to Georgina Homer (1 Walsall), Dave Taylor (Ryecroft Community Hub) and Deb Slade (Creative Arts Factory) who came to give a talk on various topics. The Sign Café was very well attended and lots of exciting ideas were shared by our speakers. As a result we have a few things planned, including:
- Computer/Cyber security and develop a Deaf Mobile App – weekly workshops. These were planned to be held initially at The Crossing at St Pauls.
- Deaf Creative Arts group – weekly group to meet at Creative Arts Factory, Walsall
- Volunteer opportunities – for those people who might be interested.
- Setting up a Deaf day trip/activity group – to plan days out.
- Plans to invite various speakers for the next Sign Café.
However, due to the Coronavirus epidemic we have had to put all of these plans on hold for the moment. Once we know the situation is safer and we know more about what we can do we will get these plans up and running again. Please keep an eye on this website for any updates – on when these groups will start.
